About the trip
Sandhan Valley is located in the Ahmednagar District of Maharashtra in the Akole taluka. It can be reached from Samrad village which is the base village. Samrad is approx. 30 Kms from Bhandardara and 3 Kms off the Ghatghar Dam road. Sandhan Valley is known by many names viz. Valley of Suspense, Valley of Shadows, and Grand Canyon of Maharashtra.
However, Sandhan is no comparison to the Grand Canyon in the Arizona State of USA which is a 445 Kms long canyon cut by the Colorado River, Sandhan is barely 2 Kms long. Sunrays reach the gorge only for a short span of time during the day when the sun is directly above the gorge, thus the gorge remains in shadow for the most part of the day. There is no suspense in the gorge or the valley beneath.
Sandhan Valley is a wonder of nature with stunning views, chilly weather and the spellbound majesty of nature.

Friday (17th Feb 23) | Catch the CST to Kasara train as per the timings mentioned.
10: 50 PM – CST
10: 57 PM – Byculla
11: 05 PM – Dadar (Meeting Point no 01)
11: 13 PM – Kurla
11: 18 PM – Ghatkopar
11: 34 PM – Thane
11: 57 PM – Dombivli
12: 07 AM – Kalyan
01: 18 AM – Kasara (Final Meeting Point for all the group Members)
Day 1
Saturday (18th Feb 2023) | Kasara - Samrad Village
01:30 AM – Meet the Team at Kasara Stn And move towards the base village in Jeep.
04:30- 05.00 AM – Reach Base village i.e., Samrad Village and take some rest.
05:30 AM – Freshen up, and gear up for the Sandhan Valley trail with Rappelling Experience.(Basic Hygiene facilities available at Samrad Village)
06:00 AM – Breakfast/tea to begin this day.
06:30 AM – Introduction round, brief on rules and regulations to be followed by everyone at the event.
05:00-05.30 PM – Planned time to reach the campsite as per our schedule. Reach & Take Rest.

Day 2
Sunday (19th Feb 2023) | Camping location to Asangaon
05:00 AM – Wake Up early, get freshen Up and have breakfast at the Campsite
07:00 AM - Start heading towards Dehne in a cool pleasant morning to beat the heat.
09:30 AM – Reach Dehne village and take some rest.
10:15 AM – Move towards Asangaon Station by Jeep
11:30 AM – Catch Mumbai local from Asangaon railway station.
01:30 PM – Reach Mumbai with a promise to meet soon.
Tour concludes
